William G. George age 72 died on December 4, 2021, at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, NY.

William G. George was born on February 13, 1949, in Scotland to parents Margaret McKenzie and William Alexander George. He graduated middle school in Kansas City, Missouri and completed his junior year of high school there as well.

 

In the 70’s he moved to New York and accepted a position as a tractor trailer driver at a friend’s company where he worked for many years. He also worked for the Dear Park Spring Water Company as a delivery driver throughout the early eighties.

 

William George was a great family man, a loving father and affectionate husband. He married Gladys Deliz in 1977 and the couple had one child together.

 

William was a socially active man who was deeply involved with his family and friends for most of his life. He enjoyed music, writing and outdoor activities. He will always be remembered as easygoing as well as a fun and loving man. - ready to give a helping hand whenever he was needed. He was truly a “Brother’s Keeper”

 

William George is survived by his daughter Eileen George, his wife Gladys George, sister Cecilia Rochester- Brown and brother Michael Danso.

 

He was a proud Marine who served honorably in the United States Armed Forces. He was always encouraging young men to be productive in their lives and his tried-and-true motto was forever” “Simper Fi” (always faithful).
