Wesley Lloyd Dixon Jr better known as Kirby was born on September 15, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York to Belinda Alford Dixon and Wesley Sr. He was the middle child of Belinda’s three children. Her only son. Her Best West. After moving to Mariner’s Harbor as a small child, Wesley connected with friends that would prove to be brothers and eventually they became Bionic. Wesley attended all the local schools Port Richmond Day Nursery, P.S. 44, I.S. 72 and Port Richmond High School. He was extremely gifted and talented. Anything Kirby set out to do, he not only did it, but with ease. Kirby was a lover of art, dance, clothing, (especially Ralph Lauren) and women. But his heart has always been and will always be with the woman who bore his first born and only child.
Despite his struggles in life, Wesley left this land a champion, an overcomer, and redeemed by God. Wesley is survived by his son ShaRon (Shalon) Irwin, his “ex-wife” Gail Irwin, his mother Belinda Alford Dixon, his father Wesley Dixon Sr., his maternal sisters Lucrachia (Alford) King and Joanne (Johnson) Mathis and his paternal sisters Suzette and Iyvette. He lost his paternal brother Lloyd Dixon in 2017. He is also survived by his nieces Azzuree Hall, Kiana, Mariah, and Amanda Cucchiara, Jernae, Miracle, and Cheyenne Mathis, and Jewel Hickman. His nephews: Kyle Curry-Alford, John Cucchiara Jr., Calvin Hickman, and Jermaine Mathis II and 3 godchildren S’ven Hewitt, Joshua Lloyd, and Ivan Lloyd.
Kirby’s entire being is woven into the jungle that is MH and he will be sorely missed by his family, friends and Bionic 6 brothers.
