Victor Marcy Walton, who was born to the late Ernest & Jean Walton passed away on January 24, 2022, at Richmond University Medical Center. He was the youngest son of 10 children.
Victor was born in Staten Island, NY on October 18, 1953. From the age of 6 to 17 years he lived with his grandparents in the British West Indies Caman Brack.
After completing school, he joined the Army National Guard in 1971. Receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal during his time of service. Upon completion of service Victor was Honorably Discharged in 1983. At which time he returned to Staten Island.
Upon being Honorably Discharged from the Army National Guard Victor started working at the Willow Brook State School as a truck driver until 1987. And later went on to work for RCA form 1998-2017 until he retired. While working at RCA he received an award for saving a life while on the job. Then returning to Culinary School and receiving a degree. On April 27, 2001 married Laurel Long and they bought their first home in New Brighton.
Victor was a loving and compassionate man, that would without a thought help anyone in need. He loved gardening, restoring things and had a passion for cooking.
Victor leaves behind to cherish precious memories his wife Laurel Walton, two sons Victor M. Walton and Kent Ares. Sisters Ida Jean Hyman and Donna Walton Covington. Brothers Russell Walton and David Walton. Aunts Alice Robinson of Staten Island, Joanne Walton of Georgia, Pamela R. Eldemire of Caman Brack, Vedelle Bloom Ripley of Caman Brack and Lynn Walton of Caman Brack. Uncles Albert Walton of Georgia, George A. Walton of Caman Brack and Donald West of Staten Island. His Goddaughter and niece Kylah. And a host loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and his beloved cat Mikey.
He will be missed more than words can express.
