Theodore R. Glover, age 85, succumbed to cancer on Thursday November 9th, 2023, at the Clove Lakes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Theodore was born on July 7, 1938, in Charlotte, North Carolina to his parents William and Inez Glover. When Theodore was about seven years old, he moved to Staten Island with his parents. He grew up on Staten Island, and while attending McKee High School, he met the love of his life, Virginia Johnson.  They were married on June 21, 1958, and from this holy union they conceived three sons. Theodore Jr., William, Terrence, and one daughter, Cynthia.

At the age of fourteen, Theodore started working part time at Richmond University Hospital, (formerly known as St. Vincent Hospital). He worked at a bakery in Manhattan, attended business school, worked at The United States Public Health Hospital as a Porter and also at Staten Island Hospital becoming disabled in 1963 due to health issues.

Theodore attended First Church of God In Christ located in West Brighton and surrendered his life to the Lord under the direction of the late Bishop Cooke and Elder Saxton.  He enjoyed singing, cooking, baseball, and he never went anywhere without his camera because he loved taking photos.  He truly loved the Lord and his family. He lived his life on faith.  He left a great impact on everyone he came in contact with, always giving and never asking anything in return.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents William and Inez Glover, beloved wife Virgina Glover, siblings Charles and James Glover, sisters Inez Johnson and Dorothy Brown.

Theodore Glover leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons Theodore Jr (Cheryl) of Maryland, William (Yvonne) of California and Terrence Glover of Staten Island, one daughter Cynthia (Robert) Steele of Florida.

14 Grandchildren: Taneia, Keenen, Jessica, Shareece, Nathaniel, Tiron, Maja, IaShia, Erica, Jasmine, Timiya, Claudia, Marcus and Terrence Jr. 19 Great grandchildren: Nadiyan, Destiny, JahQuaye, Devontae, Makayla, Janiya, Malae, Giani, Kaleah, Jaslyn, Liam, Mason, Kobi, Isaiah, Mckenzie Shaina, Zayne, Ilijah and Teilani.  One great great grandchild ZaNarri. Two sisters Thelma (Willie) Yarborough, Amelia (Floyd Sr,) McCoy and one brother William (Ida) Glover, Special friend Jim Patterson along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
