Terrence "Tiger" Ravenell was born on September 23, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York, to Richard Ravenell and Bertha Lee Council. Affectionately known as Tiger, he was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Terrence began his education in New York City before continuing in Eutawville, South Carolina, where he developed a love for horses. Throughout his life he built relationships, created memories, and left an imprint on the hearts of family and friends.

Family remained one of the greatest blessings of Terrence's life. Together with his beloved wife, Shanda Ravenell, he built a family rooted in love and commitment. Their union was blessed with four sons, Gregory, Terrence, Tyrell, and Trance. Those years became the foundation of countless memories that continue to live on through their children and the family they created together.

As life continued, Terrence's heart found room to love again when he met Tijuana Middleton. Together they welcomed their son, Tajari, a precious blessing who completed Terrence's journey as the proud father of five sons. Their time together added another meaningful chapter to his life, one filled with love, growth, and the joy of watching their son become part of his legacy. Though each chapter of Terrence's life was unique, every one of his children held a special place in his heart, and each became an irreplaceable part of the story he leaves behind.

One of Terrence's greatest gifts was his ability to make people laugh. His smile was contagious, his humor was effortless, and somehow he always knew exactly what to say to lighten the mood. Whether he was teasing someone he loved, telling one of his stories, or delivering a joke with perfect timing, laughter seemed to follow wherever he went. He had a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories and making everyone around him feel like family. Even on difficult days, Terrence could find a reason to smile and he made sure the people he loved found one too. Those laughs, those stories, and the joy he brought into every room are treasures that will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his voice has grown silent, the echoes of his laughter will continue to bring comfort, reminding us that some of life's most beautiful memories begin with a smile.

Terrence was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shanda Ravenell; his father, Richard Ravenell; his brother, Richard Ravenell, Jr.; and his sister, Wanda Ravenell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Gregory, Terrence, Tyrell, Trance, and Tajari; his grandchildren; his loving mother Bertha Lee Council; his brothers Michael Goodman (Angelina), John Goodman, and Travis Johnson; his sister Chanel Clayton; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Terrence, your story does not end here. It lives on in the family you helped build, the memories we hold close, and the love that continues to surround your name.

Rest in Paradise, Terrence. Until the chain links again.
