Teresa Dowtin was born in Richmond, VA JULY 6, 1958 to Frances Sebbern and the late

Wilbert Sebbern. Teresa embraced her destiny to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2022.

Teresa graduated from Curtis High School she was raised in a Christian home and

accepted Jesus Christ at an early age.

After school she went into the public health field to name them

Willowbrook/SIDDSO, Mount Loretta, Community Resource and UCP. She later

retired from Willowbrook /SIDDSO.

Teresa lived life to the fullest. Her voice was amazing and she touched so many

people through her singing. Teresa was the Gospel Songbird of Staten Island. She has

sung at so many churches, too many to mention and at weddings and funerals for

some of you sitting out there now. If she was out and a song was playing she had no

problem singing that song as if it was a concert. Teresa not only liked singing in

church she also sang in several bands just to give you two: Bill Francis Orchestra and

Johnny Castellano Good-n-Plenty. Karaoke was one of her favorites. Oh we can’t

forget FOOD, her favorite passion. She definitely was a people person with an

affectionate smile that would light up a room.

Teresa leaves a devoted family and a host of friends to cherish her memory. Her

mother Frances of Staten Island NY, sisters Niaretta Martin (Kelly), Chesterfield VA,

Tina Jeffris, Staten Island NY, brothers Wilbert Sebbern Jr. (Lovetta), Bakersfield CA and Maurice Watson, Richmond VA. Nieces and nephews: Jamel Sebbern (Tiffany) Seattle, WA, JontelSebbern, Dontae Sebbern, Kelly Martin Jr, Niaretta K Martin
,Tyelle Sebbern, Gerald Sebbern, Kaylan

She also leaves to cherish her memory Father Richard Watson of Richmond, VA and

a special devoted friend Will Jones of Staten Island, NY, her best friends for over 50
