Sudie Lee Robinson

Sister Sudie Lee McClendon was born on Oct 4th, 1936 to the late Viola Wise and Sam McClendon. She lived in Soperton Georgia, where she received her education. She was the 12th child amongst her siblings.

            Sudie later moved to New York with one of her siblings and later met the love of her life, Willie Robinson. They married on May 18th, 1957. Sudie and Willie had a union of 5 children. Sudie was a stay-at-home mother until until she went on to work for fellowship Baptist Church Day Care. Eventually, she went on to work for Willowbrook State School before transferring to UCP where she remained until retirement in June of 1993.

            Sudie loved her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. She gave her life to the lord in 1996. Sudie loved traveling and attending family gatherings. She was a faithful member of Mount Sanai United Christian Church where she served as a greeter and was a part of the maintenance ministry until she fell ill. She loved her church family and bishops. She leaves to mourn — her husband of 65 years Willie Robinson, her sons Kenneth, Douglas and Kieth as well as her daughters Janice and Valerie, in addition to seven grandchildren; Shonna, Janae, Ebony, Rayshaun, Shaniece, Esaiah, Elon and four great-grandchildren Reshon, Aziah, Anayla, Jahier along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Sudie also leaves behind a special friend to her, Shirley Walton and her adopted daughter Sheila Leverette.
