In loving Memory 1-year-old Sakani Joy who earned his wings on February 20th, 2023.

We find comfort in knowing he is in heaven. Our precious Sakani was born at Staten Island University Hospital on August 23rd 2021 to Sheyla Monae Hunt. Sakani was a super smart, adorable, loving, sweet baby who loved being around family. He enjoyed hanging with his siblings, watching Sesame Street, and dancing whenever he heard music. Sakani also loved to help his mommy clean and care for his new little brother. Although Sakani did not have much time on this earth; he touched many hearts with his bright, vibrant spirit. Sakani will always be loved and remembered for bringing joy to the lives of everyone who knew him.

Sakani was survived by his Mother Sheyla Hunt, his sisters Leyla Daniels, Azariah Thomas and baby brother A’san, his grandmothers Michelle Hunt and Monique Brooks, his great grandmother Carolyn Watson, his aunts Talaya, LaQuaesha and Adreiel, his uncle’s Harold Jr., and Mekhi, his first cousins Ja’Zhi, Nehemiah, Aa’se, Jayden, Amarii, Aniyah and Princess-Reiel and a whole host of family members.
