Sabra K. Braxton, Age 77 Passed Away on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 in Richmond University Hospital Center. Mrs. Braxton Was Born on February 6th, 1944 in Portsmouth Virginia to The Parents of Maggie Berniece Kellam (Mother) & George Alford Kellam (Father). She Graduated from Virginia State College In 1968 With A Degree in Bachelor of Science. In 1968 Sabra's New Career Moved Her to Staten Island, NY To Accept the Position as A Dietitian at Seaview Hospital, Rehabilitation & Nursing Home. She Then Took the Same Dietary & Supervisor Position in Brooklyn NY, At Coney Island Hospital Where She Was 1st Introduced to Her Mother-in-Law Eva May Braxton (Deceased) Whom She Supervised & Husband Baladan Matthias Braxton (Deceased) Whom She Met Over Brunch At Eva's House Who Also Worked At Coney Island Hospital in Housekeeping. Sabra Worked There for Over 25 Years & Then Retired Because Of Medical Disability Due to Suffering with Rheumatoid Arthritis & Asthma. Sabra Didn't Let Her Disability Stop Her from Living Life to The Fullest. She & Baladan Married In 1980. The Couple Had Two Children Together. A Stepson Named Nigel Buce Braxton from Baladan's Previous Marriage & Daughter Sabrina Monique Braxton, Whom Sabra Called Her Miracle Baby, Always Thinking She Wouldn’t Be Able to Conceive Due to Her Heath Issues. Sabra Lived at The Fountains Cove Road Apartments Since 1978 For Almost 50 Years with Her Husband Baladan & Daughter Sabrina Who Was Born, Raised & Living There Since 1983. Sabra Was a Social & Active Woman Who Was Deeply Involved With
Taking Care of Her Family & Friends! She Is Survived by Her Daughter Sabrina Monique Braxton, Stepson Nigle Bruce Braxton, 1 Stepdaughter Erica Cooper Braxtion by Marriage, 3 Grand Children, 2 Great Grand Children, 4 Nieces, 4 Nephews, Best Friends Anna Bynes, Doretta Mac, Amy Shields, Crystal Pierce & A Host of Other Niceses, Nephews, Cousins, Relitives & Friends. Sabra Is Preceded in Death By Her Mother, Husband, Younger Brother George A. Kellam, Brother In Law Emanuel Braxtion, One Of Her 3 Nieces Pamela Kellam.
