Rudolph Graham was born to the late John Graham and Lillie Belle Graham on July 17, 1952, in Bamberg, South Carolina. The family later settled in Harlem, New York, before moving to Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York, where Rudolph was lovingly raised.
Affectionately known as “Rudy,” he was the sixth of eleven children. Rudy was known as a “cool dude,” as they would say back then—always smooth, friendly, and full of life.
Rudolph graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1970. He later pursued a career of service, working for NYCHRA as a social worker, where he dedicated himself to helping others.
In 1974, he met and married Diane Maloney, and from this union they were blessed with one daughter, Latia Warner. He later met and married Regina Miles, and together they had three children: Candice Lewis, Rudolph Graham, Jr., and Victoria Sanchez.
Rudolph later relocated to Texas, where he married Virginia Graham. While living in Texas, he worked for the Texas bus system and became an active member of Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church.
Rudolph was outgoing, funny, and full of joy. He loved to sing, dance, and play basketball. He enjoyed watching football games, basketball games, and western movies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, dressing well, cooking, laughing, and bringing joy to those around him. He always wore a smile and carried a cheerful attitude.
Rudolph Graham was preceded in death by Father John Graham and Mother Lille Belle Graham, three sisters and three brothers. He leaves behind three daughters, Latia Graham and Candace Lewis, and Victoria Sanchez. one son, Rudolph Graham Jr., five grandchildren, Anthony Warner, Jaylen Lewis, Alexis Lewis, Noah Graham, Alijah Jones, three sisters, Shirley Graham, Patricia Graham, Donna Graham and one brother Donald Graham. He leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
