Rovenia Fenton

Rovenia Pearson Fenton was born on April 18, 1946 to Elizabeth and Willie Pearson in
Manning, S.C. She was educated in the public schools of Manning. She departed this life on
April 6, 2020. Rovenia was preceded in death by her long time loving husband Matthew Fenton
Jr.
Rovenia was a very giving and loving person. She often shared Words of Wisdom to both the
young and old. She was instrumental in helping people with life in general. Rovenia was well
known in the Park Hill Community on Staten Island where she resided. She was a homemaker
who loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She often shared delicious dishes with the
entire Park Hill Community. Her sweet potato pies were one of her specialties. No one ever
went hungry in her company as she fed the whole community and anyone who was hungry. She
was adored by her husband and children because she was a great wife and mother.
Rovenia was an active member of KeyWord Ministries and later Speak The Word Christian
Church, both of Staten Island, NY.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Eloise Pearson and brother,
Willie Pearson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Gregory Parrott, Kenyetta Fenton Richardson
(Darryl), Vanessa Fenton, and Matthew Fenton III ; Sisters, Daisy Wilson, Bert Pearson,
Margaretta Pearson, and Margaret Ann Pearson; Brothers, James Pearson, Ernest Pearson
and Robert Pearson. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.F
