Robert Lee Cornick III, affectionately known as Robbie, age 38, died of cardiac arrest on Thursday, October 8th, 2023 in his home.
Robbie was born on May 22, 1985, in Brooklyn, NY to parents Shawnda Hollingsworth and Robert Cornick Jr. He finished his schooling at Washington Irving High School in Manhattan, NY, and began working various odd jobs until landing a position as a truck driver. In later years, his occupational interest led him to be a MaBSTOA bus operator, where he worked for 9 years.
Robbie was a very outgoing and social man who was deeply involved in music and social outings. Some would say he was larger than life and a generous man. He enjoyed the comradery of family and friends because he believed in keeping his loved ones close.
Robbie is preceded in death by his mother, Shawnda Hollingsworth. He is survived by his father (Robert Cornick Jr.), his brother (Marcus Cornick), his sister (Robyn Cornick), his grandfather (Joseph Hollingsworth), his grandmother (Mary Hollingsworth), his aunts (Traci Hayes and Tajuana Snelling), his uncles (Reuben Cornick and Glen Hollingsworth), various cousins, nieces, and nephews.
