Raymond Hyter was a proud native Staten Islander that spoke highly of the Island he grew up on as he watched it change drastically over his lifetime.

Raymond Attended McKee Vocational School.
He worked as a construction worker in the 70s and 80s on Staten Island.
During the 90s Raymond immersed himself deeply into politics. He became one of the chairmen of the independent Party. He also attended the Million Man March on the U.N. Headquarters.

Raymond was Married to Sharon Mabra for 15 years and is survived by his sister Jacqueline, Children Daryl, Donnette, Lynette, Jason, and Rachael. He has 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
He has many nephews, nieces, and cousins and hosts the largest family on Staten Island.
He is preceded in death by his son Raymond Hyter Jr., siblings Patricia, Richard and Joyce.
A memorial service is scheduled for Raymond Hyter on Saturday July 9th
in Shiloh AME Zion Church at 12:00 Noon. All who knew him are welcomed to attend and help us celebrate his life.
