Rashiem Flanders, 37yrs of age died suddenly of senseless act of violence on July 29, 2023, in Staten Island, New York.
Rashiem Flanders was born January 16, 1986, in Staten Island to the parents of Jane Akinsemoyin and Reynaldo Flanders. He graduated from Curtis High School in Staten Island where he received his diploma. Rashiem worked as a maintenance worker for the company Chutes for the past two years. He previously worked as a home health aide for many years.
Rashiem was a loving father of two sons with Tanya Porch, Jeremiah Flanders, and Jazir Porch whom he loved and adored. He was recently engaged to Kathleen Kenny.
Rashiem was well known throughout Staten Island. He enjoyed going to Atlantic City, the beach, concerts, and spending time with family. Rashiem will be remembered for making his rounds too family members’ homes for the holidays or parties to say, “what’s up” and to take a plate of food.
Rashiem is survived by his mother Jane Akinsemoyin, stepfather Fatai Akinsemoyin, sons Jeremiah Flanders, Jazir Porch, brothers Reynaldo Flanders Jr., Rolando Flanders, Roberto Flanders, Ricardo Flanders, Montana Flanders, Lahsheem Lawal, Amore Lawal, sisters Serita Bonhomme, Sade Bonhomme, Keesha McFarlane and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Rashiem’s father preceded in death Reynaldo Flanders Sr.
