Mother Lula M. Hall

 Mother Lula M. Hall was born to Mary Anderson-Frazier and Cicero Frazier, Sr in Early Branch, South Carolina on December 28, 1924. Mother Lula M. Hall lived a long and prosperous life, transitioning to Glory on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Mother Lula M. Hall moved to Elizabeth, NJ at the age of 13 to help her sister Martha. She said she also came with the intentions of becoming a model. She was a beautiful slender black woman. Much later she met her husband, Reverend Arthur Floyd Hall, Sr. They later moved to Staten Island, NY where they had 11 children and there, they began ministry together with their kids. Her deceased children are Kenneth Frazier, David Hall, Arthur Hall, Jr., Baby John. Their living children are Edna Walton, James Hall, Mary Hall, Sam Hall, Deborah Hall, Donna Hall, and Pastor Grace Hall-Richardson. Mother Hall has a host of grands, great grands, and great, great grands. Family is what Mother Lula M Hall really loved. She raised her own children, many of her grandchildren and a host of foster kids who loved her as their own mother. In addition to raising her kids, Mother Hall loved talking about real estate and teaching you how to get a head as an entrepreneur. In the 1970’s she and her husband, Reverend Arthur Floyd Hall, Sr expanded their ministry from a store front church on Jersey Street that they started in the 1950’s to a much larger edifice where they continued to win many souls and to raise even more children. They had far more spiritual children than natural. Everyone loved spending time with Mother Hall on a Sunday afternoon after service, because they knew the eating would be good. Food, Family and Fellowship is what Mother Lula Hall loved to do. She was a Proverbs 31 Woman; and her children call her blessed. Her daughter Deborah vividly recalls how Mother Hall loved reading Psalms 24. Pastor Grace recalls how, Mother Hall preached a whole sermon from 1 verse, Psalm 23:1, “The LORD IS MY SHEPHERD I SHALL NOT WANT”. Pastor Grace said, Mother Hall left her in awe, preaching a full sermon from 1 verse. Mother Hall walked through that verse and preached that message like none other. Her son Sam said that watching Mother Hall bake sweet potato pies is what inspired him to go away to college to culinary school. Sam loves to cook like his mother. Mother Hall influenced the lives of many people. She was a hard worker, and if she could help you, you were going to get help. In Mother Lula M. Hall’s latter days, she began to travel once again and she enjoyed going home to see her siblings in Early Branch, South Carolina; she travelled on a plane for the first time in her life at the age of 92, to Orlando Florida, and she visited family and enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of North Carolina, she had a lot of friends and family wherever she went. She was greatly loved. She was at peace and harmony in her latter days, praise God. She had a full and long life and seen more than many might ever see in their lifetime. She fulfilled her call on earth as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, minister of the Gospel and now, absent from the body, she is present with the LORD. (2 Corinthians 5:8b) Mother Lula Hall is survived by her sons: Sam and James: daughters, Edna, Mary, Deborah, Donna and Pastor Grace. Her brothers, Steve Frazier, Henry Frazier, Bennie Lee Frazier; sisters Ruby Brooker and Annabelle Callahan: deceased are her brothers Cicero Jr (Uncle Toe) and Willie Frazier. Mother Hall leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and foster children along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, she loved everyone deeply
