Marlene Santiago, 88, passed away on October 27, 2023, peacefully in her sleep.
Marlene was born on December 13,1934 and is survived by her 6 children: George, John, Evelyn, Kenneth, Lorraine and Venus; her daughter in laws: Angela, Karen and Jeanine; her son in law Richard; sisters: Brunilda, Georgina (aka Gigi) and Mercedes; brother Eusebio Jr (aka Papo) as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
For many years, Marlene worked at the Willowbrook State School (now known as SIDDSO).
Marlene was first and foremost a devoted mother to her children and even those who were not her “children “. She loved drawing, crocheting, watching movies and cooking for the entire neighborhood.
Marlene joins her sister Molly (who coincidently passed away 14 years ago on October 27th), her brothers and countless other loved ones. Although we are deeply saddened by this extraordinary loss, we find comfort knowing that she is reunited with some family on the other side.
Marlene was brave and strong woman who will be deeply missed by the countless lives she touched.
