Lillian Salonie Mason, affectionally known as Sookie, was born on November 17,1955, in Staten Island, New York to Lillian Allen and John Dudley. She was raised in West Brighton, where she attended [high school name] and graduated with pride. On January 13, 2025, Lillian departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.”
From a young age, Lillian exhibited a remarkable spirit of kindness and resilience. She devoted her life to serving others, whether through her impactful career as a counselor, her work at a group home, or her role as a foster mom,providing care to those in need. Her unwavering dedication to making a difference was further evident in her involvement with Truth and Life Family Worship Center in Maryland, where she was a beloved member of the choir. Known for her radiant smile and generous heart, Lillian had the ability to light up any room and left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Lillian’s greatest source of pride and joy was her 5 children and all her nieces & nephews she cherished every moment spent with her devoted husband of 30 plus years, Ralph Mason, their 5 children, and 16 grandchildren. She was a pillar of strength and wisdom, offering guidance and support through life's triumphs and challenges.
Lillian was known for her love of singing and cooking, her infectious joy, and her ability to make a friend wherever she went. She had a special bond with her best friend and sister-in-law, Charlene. Together, they created cherished memories, often organizing Friday gatherings where family and friends came together for laughter and love. For Lillian, family time was the greatest treasure.
Lillian was preceded in death by her mother & father, her husband Ralph Mason and her grandson Latiff Dudley. Lillian leaves to cherish her memory, her 5 children Lamont Dudley, Latoya Dudley, Michael Dudley, Janaea Mason, and Alexandra Dudley. Her 2 brothers Harold Dudley and Robert Dudley. Her 16 grandchildren , 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and loved ones.
