Katrina was born on June 2, 1966 in the Bronx, NY to Carl McCall and Martha Broadie in which she was one of eight children. Her family moved to Staten Island, NY at a young age where she graduated from Tottenville High School in 1984. Katrina worked in various jobs, most recently in healthcare before transitioning to staying at home to raise her family. 

Katrina’s devotion to her family was the foundation of her life. She was a dedicated and affectionate mother and grandmother, consistently prioritizing her family's well-being over her own. She was very expressive in which her facial reactions could tell you what she was thinking before she even mentioned a word. Katrina was blessed with having two sets of twins: Kendra and Lynette, as well as Bryan and Brianna, who she loved with all of her heart. In 2009, Katrina welcomed Brian Jacobs into her family where he remained her partner for over 15 years. Katrina enjoyed spending time with family and friends in which her hobbies included playing bingo, shopping, and exploring various dining establishments. 

Katrina McCall, 58, passed away on August 2, 2024 at Staten Island University Hospital- North Campus. Preceding her in death were her parents Carl and Martha; siblings: David Broadie, John Garner, Diane Garner, and Gregory Garner.

Katrina is survived by her beloved partner, Brian Jacobs; children: Kendra Hockaday, Lynette Hockaday, Bryan Hockaday, and Brianna Hockaday; grandchildren: Jordan Savarese, Brielle Savarese, Violet Savarese, Kiara Velez, Xavier Savarese, Jeremiah Velez, Eliana Savarese, and an expecting grandchild, due to arrive December 2024; siblings: Brenda McCall, Christina McCall, and Tranesha McCall; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous relatives and friends.
