Joseph Bernard Newman was born December 16, 1962, to the late Alfred E. Newman and Mamie Lee Routh-Newman in Sacramento, California. Joseph was the fourth of six children.
Joseph was proceeded in death by his oldest brother George and his dear Aunt Rose, who played a big part in raising him. The Newman family relocated to NYC, where Joe received his education and later graduated from John Adams High School.
Joe attended church and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He worshipped under the late Rev. Dr. Virgil W. Glanton. Joe sang on the Youth Choir alongside his brothers and was a faithful member of the Usher Board. Joseph loved the Lord.
Joe worked and retired from MTA-Long Island Bus where he met many people that brought joy to his life. He loved rooting for the Yankees, Giants, and Jets.
Joe recently became a resident of Staten Island. Despite his aches, pains, and silent suffering, Joe loved his wife, children, and entire family. Joe was a dedicated father, husband, brother, and friend.
The Lord quietly called Joseph home on Friday, November 11th, 2022.
