For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is
at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I
have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4: 6-7 KJV
Joan A. Allen, age 70, went to eternal glory on May 8,
2021, at Staten Island University Hospital. She was born on
August 16, 1950 in Manhattan NY to the parents of
Elizabeth Casey and John Huston, who perceived her in
death.
Joan graduated and had a higher education wherein she was
employed by Bell Atlantic and later on she worked for
White Castle as a supervisor for more than 20 years.
She was a “great” family woman and a loving mother,
confidante, and friend. She married Anthony Allen and to
that union was born, their son Michael Allen (who
preceded her in death) and daughter Kit Allen.
Joan was a very social active woman who was deeply
involved in her community with her daughter and friends
for the majority of her life. She enjoyed spending time with
her family and especially her daughter Kit. Family and
friends will always remember her as an intelligent, out-
spoken, loveable woman who loved to talk.
Joan leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Kit Allen,
two grandchildren, Michael Hemmans and Deonte Hunter,
her brother Frank Casey, niece Ann Casey, who was more
like her sister and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A repass will be held at Grandview Big Park in Manners Harbor Staten Island New York at 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
