Jesse B. Powell was born on June 30, 1968 to Jesse Benny Powell and Maxine Bor. Jesse grew up in New York and attended Music and Arts High School and received a B.S. from the University of Phoenix.

Jesse began his Masonic Journey with Prince Hall Ashlar Lodge #94 being initiated on October 7, 1997 and Raised on April 24, 1998.  Jesse was only 29 years of age.

He served as Worshipful Master for his Lodge during the years 2003 and 2004. As a Past Master, Jesse served several positions in the Lodge, including but not limited to recording secretary in 2006 and in 2018. He was elected to Treasurer in 2019.
