Jeaniamae Moore, 65, of Staten Island, departed this life on November 5, 2024, surrounded by love after facing pancreatic and colon cancer with dignity and grace. Born on September 27, 1959, in Brooklyn to Frances Thomas Moore and Rosamae Price, Jeaniamae was a steadfast pillar of strength and comfort for all who knew her.
When anyone needed a shoulder to lean on or guidance through life’s challenges, Jeaniamae was there without hesitation. Her home was a sanctuary, always open to those in need, and her role as a caretaker extended far beyond her own family. She had a beautiful way of making room in her heart and home for anyone seeking shelter from life’s storms.
With grace and strength, she raised six children and embraced her niece as her own daughter, creating an unbreakable foundation of love and understanding. Her legacy continues through her ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her wisdom and strength within them.
Jeaniamae cared for her beloved brother for many years, embodying unconditional love and loyalty. She cherished the bonds with her six surviving sisters, who were blessed to have her as a voice of reason and understanding. Her balanced approach to life made her a trusted confidante to many, and her unwavering faith guided her throughout her journey. Even in her final days, her spirit remained a beacon of hope and light for those around her.
Jeaniamae is survived by her seven children, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six sisters, and her brother. She joins her parents, Frances Thomas Moore and Rosamae Price, and two sisters in eternal rest.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jeaniamae’s life at Stradford Funeral Home, 1241 Castleton Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310, on Monday, November 18th.
