Isaac Radcliffe JR.
June 10, 1941 ~ November 2, 2023 (age 82) 82 Years Old
Isaac Radcliffe. Jr. was born in Charleston, South Carolina on June 10, 1941, to Rosa Williams and Isaac Radcliffe. Sr. He was the eldest of 4 children.
He attended Aviation High School when he received his calling to join the United States Marine Corps serving one tour of duty in the Vietnam conflict before it was declared war. He was a member of the 369th Veterans Association and served as the Vice-President of the Manhattan/Bronx District.
He was employed at Syska & Hennesy Inc. as an architect. One morning in 1988 he was on his way to California to inspect fire sprinklers when he was fallen with a massive stroke at age 47. Isaac was a fighter because on that day he was given his last rites twice. Once when he was taken to Catholic Hospital and the second at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York before they operated on the broken vein on his brain. Uncle Junior was a fighter and before they could count him out, he fought his way back after being in a coma for two weeks.
He never married or had children, but he became an important part of his sister’s (Annette) and her children and grandchildren's lives.
Everyone has an Uncle Junior story. Uncle Junior was everybody's uncle and was known for his great sense of humor. He lived a good life despite his disability. He traveled extensively with his sister and her family.
He is survived by his sister, Annette Radcliffe and his brother Slyvester Radcliffe. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was proceeded in death by a younger brother, Bernard Radcliffe.
