Effiong Eyo Ate

 Effiong Eyo Ate (Eteobong), passed away suddenly on December 12, 2019 in Dallas, TX. He was born on September 9, 1954 in Calabar, Cross River State of Nigeria to the family of late Mr. Ate Eyo Ate and Mrs. Affiong Ate.  Due to his passion for children, Effiong worked with Administration for Children Services as a Child Protective Specialist until his retirement in 2010. His love for children was felt by the families and children he helped in the community and in his profession. Effiong was a hardworking, compassionate and a kind man. He provided both emotional and financial support for his family members whenever needed and cherished his only child/son, Inyeneobong Ate

 He loved Nigerian traditional music, dancing, laughing and making jokes. He really enjoyed having family gatherings and everyone coming together to have a good time. With heavy heart, Effi, will always be loved and missed tremendously by his wife, son, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, Amen
