Deidre Denise Borders was born on November 19th, 1963 in Brooklyn New York to the late Marvin Poole and Dorothy Borders. A product of NYC Public School System, Deidra spent the majority of her life in New York. She also lived in Delray Beach, Florida for about 15 years.
For over 30 years, Dee Dee, as she was affectionately known, worked in the Food Service field. In her role as a cook, she was employed at various institutions such as Seaview Nursing Home, Publix and the Delray Beach Medical Center. Dee Dee was a very loving and encouraging soul. She cared for people and this led her, even after her retirement, to volunteer to serve others at Project Hospitality on Staten Island for a few years.
She was a believer in Jesus Christ since childhood and later became a member of the First Central Baptist Church in Staten Island NY. Dee Dee loved her family very much and was an extremely affectionate person. She was never bashful about expressing her feelings. Deidre was very generous, and did not hesitate to share; an attribute she inherited from her mother. Dee Dee enjoyed watching movies and family get-togethers. She especially enjoyed her time spent with her brother Andre.
Dee Dee faced some heavy challenges in life, as many do, but through her faith in Jesus Christ, and her strong spirit of endurance, she was able to forge ahead through life.
She departed this earth on May 24,2020 and leaves to mourn, her loving brothers Andre M Borders and Rodney Borders. Her sister in law Loretta Borders, niece Jasmine Borders, nephews Andre R. Borders (VA), & Reginald Clark (NC), a special cousin Gloria Norman and a host of relatives and friends.
