Deacon Leroy A. Bell passed away peacefully in Richmond University Medical Center on October 13th, 2025 in Staten Island, NY at the age of 69 years.
Deacon Bell was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, West Indies on October 28th, 1955, to the late Henry and Attlyn Bell.
He graduated High School In Jamaica, West Indies. After graduating, he joined the fire department in Jamaica where he was a fireman for over 10 years. He came to the USA in 1985 with his wife and children. He worked with R&S Strauss in New Jersey for many years. He also went to John R. College in Manhattan where he worked as a Fire Safety Director. He then went on to work on his own trucking business know and L&L Trucking. He loved driving to many different places. Deacon Bell loved being a Deacon. His favorite sport was Football and Dominos.
Deacon Bell was a member of Mt. Sinai United Christian Church for 30 years. He was the Director of the Maintenance Ministry, member of the Drama Ministry and Deacon Ministry.
Deacon Bell loved the Mt. Sinai Family with all his heart. He was married to the deacon Lorna Bell for 48 years. This union produced five wonderful children: Annalie, Glendon, Raymond, Troy and Aaron. Deacon Bell is survived by his wife, five children, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, 8 sisters, 60 nieces and nephews, 3 daughters in law, grand aunts and uncles in law, cousin and uncles, brother in laws, sister in laws, godchildren, friends and well wishers.
He was proceeded in death by both his parents; Father Henry Bell and Mother Attlyn Bell, and one sister Veda Bell.
