Daniel Luis Melendez III of Staten Island New York passed away at 7months, on January 12th 2021 due to cardiac arrest at Richmond University Hospital . 

Daniel Luis Melendez III was given birth to in a warm shower naturally by his mother Starion Alexis Johnson and delivered by his father Daniel Luis Melendez in their dream bedroom on May 19 2020 at 10:45 am . Daniel Luis Melendez III favorite color was all colors especially if it lit up or made noise . He was a gemini , who loved making straight faces at people till they gave up trying to make him laugh, then laughed at them . His favorite cartoons concluded of puppy dog pals , paw patrol and tom and jerry . He loved waking up to his father giving him a warm bottle after a bad dream and rocked backed to bed . Most of all he loved kisses from his big brother before bed and being talked to . 

Daniel Luis Melendez III was born in my dream bed room after a seafood boil the night before and four hours of trying to walk around I finally thought of a warm shower to calm me and him down . Before anyone else could hear him cry or see him 

He locked eyes with his parents for only a split second . However, felt like time had stopped for me and his father. He didn’t cry just smiled peacefully . Afterwords of the ambulance carrying me and the baby down flights of steps and thru the back yard  Daniel his father and I were rushed to Richmond University where we all found out the news of him being 6 pounds and healthy.  After 2 hours his  umbilical cord came right off after 3 days in the hospital he was looking around and still the best baby in the hospital when it came to bed time and feedings . Daniel was the most small fragile quiet advanced baby I’ve ever seen in person . Once he gained weight and was given his shots he was then  ready to go out into the world .   

Daniel Luis Melendez III was smart and aware of his surrounds . He loved no\thing more than his family and play time with his big brother. Daniel gained this beautiful technic where he could play asleep . However , he was just trying to see if you were friend or pho . I always said that’s the gemini in him but I know it came from love . Daniel came into this world with his eyes wide open, happy and smiling.  There were many nick names to be given to our beautiful, handsome Daniel. Some out of many were JR, Four, The 3r  Junior (Jr.)  and my personal favorite. Petunia. Daniel wasn’t just loyal and independent, he was a natural gift in the form of a beautiful flower.
