Claudia Ford, age 85, passed away peacefully in her home on May 21, 2022.  Claudia was born in Harlem NYC to her late parents Mack and Nonnie. She attended school in Harlem and the Bronx. In 1969, Claudia moved to Staten Island to raise her children with her late husband,  John A James.  During this time, she accepted a position as a home attendant for Richmond Home Needs, where she worked hard for over 30 years before retiring in 1994. Claudia was blessed with a very large and loving family which extended beyond her biological family.  She cared for and was very giving to so many individuals within her community.  Claudia is survived by her sister Dolores, her daughters, Patricia and Wendy, her son, John, her adopted children Tanya, Billy, Angela, and her grandchildren; Luis, Furquan, Gladys, Michael, Ava, Bonnie, Gingee, Preston, Christine, Kristen, Moretta, Tyrone, Ryan, Rondald Jr., Michael Jr., LaReece, Claurice, Sharice, Raymond, Claude Jr, Stephanie, Levon, Latavia, Patrice, Lashawn, Justine, Desanaia, Gerard, Ghenae and Gennai.  She is also preceded in death by her late husband, John A James, her late daughter, Lana Ford, her late daughter, Anna, her late son, Mack, her late son, Ronald, her late son Claude, her late grandsons, Justin and Terrell and late great grandson Quincy Jr.  Claudia also leaves behind a host of 49 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren,  nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family and friends will always remember her for her unconditional love, kindness, and undeniable beauty that she portrayed, both inside and out.
