Charles "Junnie" Vann, Jr.

     Charles Vann Jr. was born on December 25, 1954 (Christmas Day). He departed this life to eternal rest on December 14, 2022.

     Junnie as he was affectionately called was the second of nine children was born in Manhattan, NY. He lived in Brooklyn and then Queens as a child. Charles came to Staten Island as a young man and began his work at UCP Willowbrook. He was also employed at the Kovak Light Company for several years.

     His love of music led him to become a well-known DJ throughout Staten Island.

   One of Charles greatest passions was home improvement. He approached each project with enthusiasm and precision while providing detail and expert knowledge to all facets of carpentry.

     Junnie always filled the room with jokes and laughter. He enjoyed spending time with his large extended family whom he lovingly penned the (Vann Clan).

     Charles leaves to mourn his passing his loving family. La Keisha Vann (daughter), Nieshia Vann (daughter), Brandon Vann (son) and Xia Vann (daughter). 6 grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren. Four siblings: Gregory Vann Sr., Debra Vann-Caesar, Jaqueline "Bonnie" Vann and Pamela Jackson, Lamont "Dawk" Harris (stepbrother), Andrew McPhail and Keith Caesar (brothers- in- law) Pearl Johnson (aunt). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

     Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles Vann Sr. and Bessie Mae Vann (Johnson), Charles "Poogie" Vann lll (son), Tracy Vann (sister), Ronald "Calvin" Vann and Stanley "Butch" Vann (brothers), Linda McPhail (sister), Fletcher Jackson (stepfather), and Roy Johnson (uncle).
