Ms. Brenda Lovell, a cherished matriarch, devoted mother, grandmother, and dedicated caregiver, peacefully entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of profound love, warmth, and selfless service. Her story began on October 23, 1945, in the beautiful and lush region of Pomona Valley, Belize, Central America. Born to loving parents Olivia Hurburt and Randolph Rogers, Brenda grew up surrounded by the vibrant culture and close-knit community of her homeland. As a young girl in Belize, she attended Grace Chapel School, where she received her academic foundation and nurtured the values of compassion, faith, and community that would guide her steps for the rest of her days. With dreams of building a prosperous future and sharing her immense capacity for care with the world, Brenda eventually made the life-changing journey to migrate to the United States. Settling in New York, she found her true calling in the nursing profession, training and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Brenda dedicated her professional life to providing comfort and dignity to those in their golden years, serving faithfully at the Mary Manning Nursing Home in New York. To her patients and colleagues, she was a reassuring and comforting presence, known for her gentle touch, tireless work ethic, and selfless heart. Her career was never just a job; it was an authentic ministry of love. Outside of her professional commitments, Brenda was a woman of vibrant interests who found immense joy in life’s simpler pleasures. She was an exceptional cook and baker, often filling her home with the rich, comforting aromas of traditional Belizean dishes and delightful baked goods that brought her family together. Her creative hands were rarely still; she was an avid seamstress, beautifully crafting and mending pieces with care and precision. In her quiet moments of relaxation, she thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of her home, watching her favorite television programs and unwinding in the company of her thoughts and loved ones. Above all her achievements, Brenda’s greatest pride, joy, and crowning glory was the vast, loving family she built across generations. She was the proud daughter of the late Olivia Hurburt and the late Randolph Rogers, and her maternal love extended to her six children. She is survived by her devoted children, Mr. Steve Dixon, Mrs. Emerlin-Lovell Alleyne, Mrs. Sharane Lovell Turner, Ms. Oridel Lovell, and Mr. Ferdinand Lovell, who all reside in the United States and continue to carry her strength forward. Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mr. Kenrick Lovell, who held a special place in her heart. Her enduring legacy beautifully blossomed into nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was a doting grandmother to her grandsons, Justin Domingo, Kelvin Roches, Nevin Roches, Patrick Galvez, Anthony Turner, Luke Turner, William Lovell, and Alex Lovell, as well as her beloved granddaughter, Ms. Kelene Roches, and her precious twin grandsons, Seker and Heru-Dixon. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her memory will remain an anchor of love, strength, and guidance for generations to come.
"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"— Matthew 25:23
