Anthony “POOH BEAR” Williams, age 63, passed away on August 27, 2023, in Staten Island, NY.
Anthony Williams was born on November 11, 1959, in Staten Island, NY to parents Bennie Lee Williams and Martha Louise Williams. He graduated from Susan E. Wagner, HS in Staten Island, NY and accepted a position at the Willowbrook State School as a housekeeper.
Growing up Anthony enjoyed playing basketball, shopping for clothes and relaxing watching tv. Later in life he struggled with Mental Illness. He was also a part of an organization called The Act Team, that helped him with his mental condition. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind person that enjoyed quiet time to himself. And most of all he loved talking to his mom on the phone as often as he could.
Anthony Williams is survived by his Mother Martha Louise Williams and Stepfather Claude Thompson; his Son Anthony Williams JR; Brothers Tony Williams, Michael Williams, Garey C. Williams, James A. Moore Jr, James E. Williams and his Sisters Lorraine Williams, Nina L. Williams, Dorothy Moore and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his Father Bennie Lee Williams; his Brothers Arnold Williams and Darrel Deal.
