Anthony Neil Riley died unexpectedly at home on April 8, 2025 in Staten Island, NY at the age of 62.
Anthony was born on February 3, 1963, in Brooklyn, NY to Barbara Faye Riley and Isaac Riley. The family moved to Staten Island in 1977. He graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in 1980.
Anthony began working shortly after high school for a neighborhood storage and moving company. He was a truck driver/ mover and organizer, over a few years. He relocated to Virginia for a while before returning back to Staten Island. Anthony aka (“Riley Real”) was admired, respected, appreciated and loved by everyone in his presence. He had old school manners, humor, intellect, and gave 100% of himself with family, friends, work and volunteering within the community, church and beyond. He loved watching sports and suspense filled shows at his leisure.
He faced and overcame some rough patches/challenges in his life. For the most part he was a good man with an enormous heart and loved everyone as he was loved himself. He was the youngest of nine children and was adored and loved by all of his family near and distant. He will be greatly missed by all he had the pleasure of crossing paths with.
Anthony is survived by his siblings; Aysha “Evelyn” Abdullah of Florida, Barbara Ann Riley of Staten Island, Tammy Lynn Mckoy of Staten Island. Nieces Marsia Riley of New York State, Marshall Riley of Pennsylvania, Isaretta Riley of North Carolina, Aysha Riley of Georgia. As well as several great nieces. Nephews; Hason Lee of Ohio, James McKoy of Ohio, Kevin McKoy of Connecticut, Ishmael Odoi of Delaware and several great nephews. By his Aunt Francis Rhymes of Queens, New York, Uncle Clyde Rhymes of Queens, New York. Cousin Terry Rhymes of Long Island, New York, Cousin Simone in Ohio and several other cousins.
Anthony is proceeded in death by his parents Barbara and Isaac Riley, siblings, Isaac Riley, Sidney Riley, Kenneth Riley, Ernest Riley and Kevin Riley.
We will love and remember Anthony.
