Anthony McPhatter, born in Brooklyn, New York, March 11, 1958 to the late Laura Jane Griffin and James McPhatter,
Where he and his late sister Odessa were raised.
He also was part of the Boys Scouts which he loved.
Anthony McPhatter attended New Utrecht high school, and furthered his education at New York University where he studied business administration. He also attended Lattimore-Woods office technology training. Resulting in a certification. Anthony went on to work as a finance and administration manager for non-profit organizations for the majority of his professional career. When life trials and challenges presented itself to the Mcphatter household. Anthony, always willing to do whatever it took to provide for his family, even had a brief run a cab drive in New York City. Finally, retiring as a beloved part time member of Home depot staff on Staten island.  
He met his wife, Pat as a teenager after years of intermittent encounters, they married in January of 1986. He leaves behind his wife Pat and sister Barbara McPhatter, two surviving children, Toya and Quran., five grandchildren whom he raised, Fantasia, Antwan, Little Anthony, (AKA Mooch) Jadon, and Patrice, and three great grandchildren. Mason, Aubrey, and K-mari. He also leaves behind his nieces Chawanda, Lacey, and great niece Alicia, in addition to, his nephews Kenneth Terry, Shawn, Morris, John, Demetrice, Hasan, Sekou and a host of great nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many other relatives and friends.
Anthony loved being around people and talking with them. There was no subject or topic he couldn't discuss. He also loved to fish and enjoyed watching football and basketball immensely, In addition to watching his wood-working shows. 
Anthony had an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ in the early 1990s, while in a rehab facility, (Salvation Army), upon one of his visits home, he entered his apartment and proclaimed, “ I AM SAVED, and my whole household will be saved.” From the time he gave his life to Jesus Christ, he only spoke with thanksgiving, hope, and gratitude for how God has transformed his life. 
In his journey of following Christ, He grew in wisdom and knowledge through various church and tent meetings. Church of God in Christ, Rehoboth Gospel Assembly, Shepard’s Tabernacle, Brooklyn Tabernacle, and currently Trinity Christian Center. From escorting those living in homeless shelters to church to ushering, interceding for others in the prayer band, and whatever else he was asked to do, he did with his whole heart and faithfully.
