Alisa Dawn Booth died peacefully at home at the age of 55 years old after a long, hard fought battle with lung cancer.
Alisa was born on December 2nd, 1970, in Brooklyn, NY to Frances Josephine Robinson (Navarrete) and the late Elwood Robert Booth. Alisa lived most of her life on Staten Island. She graduated from McKee High School in 1988. In March of 2000, Alisa married her high school sweetheart Luis Perea with whom she shared two children with, Tiffanie and Luis II. Alisa was a passionate educator and worked for Eden II School for children and adults with autism for twenty years. She then worked at LaVelle Prep for ten years with middle school students that loved and adored her. Alisa was extremely driven and intelligent. As a working mother and wife, in 2012 she earned a master’s degree in education from the college of New Rochelle.
First and foremost, Alisa will always be remembered for her enduring love of people and of course her sense of humor. She was a very talented cook and made everyone feel welcomed, loved and well fed. Whenever family members had events, she was always the one asked to help prep and prepare meals. Alisa was the confidant of many family members and friends; someone you can always count on. For these reasons she will be sorely missed.
Alisa is survived by her mother Frances Navarrete and step father Benjamin Navarrete, ex husband Luis Perea, children Tiffanie and Luis Perea II, grandchildren: Kai Turnbore, AnaGrace Perea and Jayden and Luka Logan-Perea, brothers: Troy Booth (Stacy Booth) and Lamont Booth (Ivy Booth), nieces and nephews: Eli and Taliyah Booth, Sean Davis, Johnna and Troy Booth Jr and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and beloved friends that loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her father Elwood Robert Booth, maternal grandparents : Frank and Edythe Robinson and paternal grandparents : Arthur and Alita Booth.
