Alex Cuthbert Smith, age 66, died on April 4, 2023, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Alex was born on May 10, 1956, in La Ceiba, Honduras to parents Carmen and Cuthbert Smith. He graduated from McKee High School in 1974. He worked in Brooklyn, New York at the C.O.H.I. as a Community Liaison for many years before moving and retiring to Miami, FL. He later moved to Charlotte, NC.
Alex was a professional Chicago Style Stepper and enjoyed chess and dominos. His family and friends will always remember his style and charm!
Alex is survived by his
Children: Erica Wright, Alex Gresham, Jr., and Chatela Smith.
Siblings: Stanford Smith (Cecile), Cholina Linwood, Dorothy Edwards, Linda Parchment, Michael Smith, Steavon Smith.
Companion of four years, Annette Thomas.
Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Smith; parents Carmen and Cuthbert Smith; Grandmother, Vera Bodden; Sons, Ramone and Kirk; brother, Perswell Smith.
