Adella Jackson died of colon cancer on, December 09, 2022, while being treated at the Bellevue hospital in In Manhattan New York.

Adella was born August 13, 1953, in Jamaica to Adelyn Douglas and Leonard Jackson.  She lived in Hanover Jamaica until 2011 when she moved to New York in the United States of America.

 Adella was a caregiver to the elderly as well as to the young, she was a great family woman and loving mother to her only child, Elford, a wonderful grandmother to her 4 grandchildren Kareem, Rasheedah, Antasia and Kamari.

Adella was a social person she enjoyed conversations with friends and loved ones. She was a vocal person who didn’t mince words. She was a family person who helped to raise three of her grandchildren and other members of her family. She constantly kept in contact with her family members back in Jamaica.

 A funeral is scheduled for 9:00am on Tuesday, December 20, at Stradford Home for Funerals and Cremations. Adella was predeceased by Her parents, Lenard Jackson and Aldine Smith.  She is survived by her only child Elford Hacker, Grandchildren, brothers and sisters here in the United States, Canada and Jamaica.
