Lois Caldwell 78

Long time Staten Islander of Mariners Harbor died on June 27, 2017

Born on July 18, 1938 in Rock Mills, AL. To Olen and Ellla {moss} Johnson. She then lived in Chattanooga, TN before moving to New York in the late 1940’s.

In 1957 she married George Caldwell who preceded her in death in 1970 along with her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her three children: Rene Caldwell (Dongan Hills, NY); George Caldwell (Bloomington, IL) and Ronald Caldwell (Murray, UT). Also surviving are two daughter in laws Alice and Monica Caldwell, One Brother Autrey Johnson (Mutt Cat) Ruth Johnson, Agnes Moody, Marie Donegan and Barbara Daniels. Seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lois attended Curtis High School in St George, Worked at St Vincent’s Hospital and then Sea View Hospital and Home for 35 years where she received several achievement awards for her work there before retiring on 2000.

She has great love for her family, music, old classic movies and especially roller skating when she could.
